The Divine Weaver

"The Divine Weaver"

My life is but a weaving
Between my Lord and me;
I cannot choose the colors
He worketh steadily.

Oft times He weaveth sorrow
And I, in foolish pride,
Forget that He seeth the upper,
And I the underside.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas
And explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needful
In the Weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

The above poem was in the devotion I read today in the following book: Walking with the Women of the Bible A Devotional Journey Through God's Word by Elizabeth George. I liked the poem and thought that I would share it with all of you.

I like the Divine Weaver Poem alot. I think if you substitute She for He in the poem that you would maximize effect . It will maximize the effect of expanding perception, which I believe is one of the core intended messages.
